Understanding the Types of Spondylitis

A collection of chronic arthritis-like illnesses affecting the joints of the spine and sacroiliac area are collectively referred to as spondylitis. The pelvis and lower spine are parts of the sacroiliac area. Spondylitis is divided into several subgroups by medical experts. Widespread inflammation caused by some subtypes can impact several organs or systems in the body.

4. Reactive Arthritis/Reiter’s Syndrome (ReA) :

ReA spondylitis typically develops as a result of a bacterial infection. Undifferentiated spondylitis is the term given to this type of spondylitis that does not fit the criteria for ankylosing spondylitis or a comparable condition. The common signs of undifferentiated spondylitis don’t usually include skin rashes, stomach issues, or back discomfort.

Although there isn’t a cure for spondylitis, there are therapies that can help control the condition and lessen symptoms. Exercises, physical therapy, and medication are available as forms of treatment. In addition to receiving regular care, some people might want to explore complementary therapies including acupuncture, massage, and relaxation techniques.
